WIP update and haul

Here is the progress on the last 2 weeks knitting.

Astrid socks.  Still in the same place as last time.  I haven't got any more done on these.

Vanilla socks.  Nearly up to the heel. Last time I had just got past the toes
So Faded jumper, well on the way with the sleeves.  I'm knitting on them every other night.
Only a few rows put in on the Modular Inlay Wrap

Quite a bit done on the Egedia cowl. I've been knitting on this every other night.

Habitation throw.  Where the stitch marker is, was where I was at last time

Small yarn cozy, done in 1 afternoon.
 A large yarn cozy
I'd started this yarn cozy in the last update, now finished
I pre ordered the Strands of Joy book, a pattern book with 20 patterns by Anna Johanna.  The first pattern I want to knit is the Pirta.

I saw Ribbon Rose had Rowan Felted Tweed on sale only until Sunday and I knew some of the colours would be perfect for what I wanted.  So even though I didn't have the book I went out on Sunday and bought some yarn.

While I was there I couldn't resist some Rowan Fine Lace 2 ply.  This will be for a shawl, but what shawl and when I think I'll have time for a shawl I don't know.
Of course I didn't stop with yarn.  I thought this handy carrier would be good for storing all my bits and bobs.
And here it is filled up.

But wait there's more!  blocking pins, needles, cables and row counters.

And my book arrived yesterday.  OMG I love this book.  I would literally knit every single thing in here.  The book is beautiful.  It is hard cover and has a lovely new book smell.

Vanilla sock and mitts finishes and WIP parade, little bit of haul

I finished my vanilla socks knit with Happy Feet yarn from Knitworld.

These were knit toe up, using Turkish cast on and with Afterthought heels.  The toes and heels are in contrasting green with two rows of the contrast at the top of the cuff.

I also finished my Rainbow Connection Fingerless mitts, by The Crazy Sock Lady.

These were super easy to knit and made from leftover yarn from my Slipstravaganza.

I have two new cast ons, this is a yarn cozy.  The idea is you can put yarn in these and it won't slide all over the place if you pull yarn from the centre.

I'm making this out of leftover Regia self striping sock yarn.

The other cast on is another vanilla sock using some variegated yarn from Purrl Kitten with contrast heels and toes using a pink from the advent calendar.

These are TAAT (see below) toe up using Turkish cast on and will have Fish Lips Kiss Heel

I've made more progress on the Astrid Socks by Tracey Millar of the Grocery Girls.

These are the first socks I've knitted Two At  A time (TAAT) and I think this may be the way I do my socks from now on.  I've bought more 2.25mm needles with extra long cables (100cm) for other socks.  I've put in Fish Lips Kiss (FLK) heel on both socks.  I've changed the pale green that I used for the toes with a darker green so there is better contrast.

There is a bit more progress on the Habitation Throw.

You can just see the stitch marker which is where I was last time I posted.

Just a little bit done on Modular Inlay Wrap
I've added the two grey triangles on the end and knitted a couple of rows on one of the long sides.

I've made quite a bit of progress on So Faded jumper.
I've finished the body and started the sleeves.  I am doing the sleeves TAAT.  I found the video Tutorial: Knitting Sleeves Two at a Time using Magic Loop by 111Windmills to be very helpful.

Just a little bit of haul.  One of my LYS has a dyer of the month section on their webiste.  January was Miro Yarns and I bought some Mizzle sock yarn from them.  It is Zwartables, BFL,Corriedale and Nylon.  I also bought a contrasting mini
